Collab and Collab MakerSpace Classes and Workshops
The Collab MakerSpace offers a variety of classes and workshops covering woodworking, metalworking, crafting, 3D printing, CNC, and much more. These classes are held at the Collab MakerSpace.
The Collab Art Salon will begin offering a number of workshops on a diverse range of subjects starting Spring 2024.
Welding
Intro and Intermediate classes available. A fun and easy intro to Welding with hands on learning in a fun and relaxed atmosphere
You will be introduced to various metal working tools and the different types of welding commonly used in DIY projects. You will learn what types of metal can be used, how to prep your materials, proper safety equipment, and the welding basics.
The Intermediate class takes off where the Intro class ends, giving you the hands on confidence to weld your own projects.
This is a 2 hour, hands on class.

Woodworking
Intro and intermediate classes available. A fun and easy intro to basic woodworking, with hands on learning in a fun and relaxed atmosphere
The class will be familiarized with over a dozen common woodworking tools in a hands on, easy to learn environment. You will learn safety, handling and about different materials. And you’ll make a little sawdust as you practice on the MakerSpace tools and equipment.
The Intermediate class takes off where the Intro class ends, giving you the hands on confidence to build your own projects.
This is a 2 hour, hands on class

Intro to CNC Routing
A simple intro to the CNC Router
With robotic precision, a CNC router can cut intricate shapes from wood (as well as aluminum and certain other materials.) It simply takes the proper input from you. You’ll quickly learn how to make designs and transfer them to the CNC router. You’ll learn the proper material handling to turn your simple piece of stock into a beautiful creation.
This is a 2 hour, hands on class
